Martin is enthusiastic about promoting wildlife and communicating his work to the wider public and has appeared on a number of television and radio programmes, as well as in the public press. He also leads eco-tours for Greentours and Jaeger Tours (a US based company). Most recently, Martin gave an interview on Radio 2 of the impacts of wind farms on birds, and participated in a documentary on fish (The Compleat Angler - Oval Films) that will be broadcast in 2006. The photo below shows Geoffrey Palmer and team with a Zander, an introduced fish that is currently causing problems in several parts of the UK. In the past Martin has also appeared on Countryfile, (pictured below with crew and presenter, Michaela Strachan) talking about small mammals.
Martin's extensive work on biomanipulation has also been one of the topics discussed in a documentary on the Norfolk Broads, made for the Open University's course on Ecology (S328). ECON and biomanipulation has also hit the national press, and was the content of a double page feature in the Independent.
